About the role
Efficio is building the future of dispute resolution in the global finance ecosystem. As a Senior Software Engineer in our Dispute Infrastructure team, you will be at the heart of our mission, designing and scaling the systems that automate complex legal and financial workflows.
You'll work on high-stakes infrastructure that integrates directly with major card networks (Visa, Mastercard) and handles sensitive financial data at scale. This isn't just about writing code; it's about solving the foundational problems of an industry that has been static for decades.
What you'll do
- Design and implement core infrastructure that powers Efficio's dispute resolution engine.
- Build resilient and scalable microservices that handle high-volume transaction data.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex requirements into elegant technical solutions.
- Optimize system performance and reliability, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical services.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to our engineering culture of excellence.
- Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from architecture to production monitoring.
What you'll bring
- 6+ years of experience in backend development, preferably in high-scale distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in modern backend languages (Node.js, Go, or Python).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Deep understanding of database design, performance tuning, and architectural patterns.
- Experience in FinTech, specifically in payments or dispute management, is a significant advantage.
- A passion for building clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
